General:
The pedestrian pushbutton has a telescoping, vandal-proof
design. The color shall be black, green, yellow, or another
color as specified.
The actuator surface shall have a diameter of 2" or greater.
It shall be made of polished stainless steel and assembled
with all stainless steel components so as not to be corrosive.
The actuator shall be conical in shape with the cone extending
.404" above the bezell of the switch housing in the neutral
position.
The microswitch component shall be dustproof, water resistant
type. It shall be a single pole, precision, snap acting type.
It shall be U.L. listed and CSA certified.
The complete switching unit shall have an operating force
of 3 lbs. and a minimum release force of 3 lbs. Pretravel
shall be .062 inch minimum. Overtravel shall be .062 inch
minimum.
