General:
The McCain Solid State Neon Pedestrian Signal is illuminated by
the use of a neon message module with 2 individual internal
solid state power supplies. The Solid State Neon Pedestrian Signal provides a reliable
means of pedestrian control with very low electrical energy
consumption. It requires no internal maintenance and will
deliver many years of reliable service. The Solid State Neon Pedestrian Signal is
designed to conserve energy and reduce maintenance programs.
The Solid State Neon Pedestrian Signal meets and exceed the latest ITE standards.
The McCain Solid State Neon Pedestrian Signal has also been subjected to independent
lab testing for vibration, shock, temperature, and humidity.
Housing:
The housing is die cast aluminum alloy or injection molded
from ultraviolet stabilized, permanently colored, plastic.
Two equally spaced mounting lugs are integrally cast into
the top and bottom, permitting the door to hinge from either
direction. All interior mounting locations are symmetrically
positioned, allowing the rotation of components when using
the bi-directional McCain "QuickmountTM II". Each
housing has a 72 tooth serrated boss at each end for use with
standard signal hardware. Each boss has reinforcing ribs projecting
the load bearing stress to the entire housing.
